Created as a showpiece during our experience directing for creative collective Nakd (in Toronto), this project was our first foray into short film and our first collaboration together. Inspired by the materiality of cardboard, we see the piece as an experiment in de-familiarization. The all CGI piece was created over an intensive one-month period, and
was topped up by some intense and moody sound design by our good friend John Black
of Cypheraudio. Beyond multiple screenings at Resfest and onedotzero, Box was included
in the 2006 Saatchi & Saatchi New Director's Showcase at Cannes.
